Navigating CrafterBy

CrafterBy uses a sidebar layout. The main navigation is always visible on the left. Here is what each section contains.

Sidebar sections

• Dashboard -- summary view of your organization. The starting point after login.
• Materials -- your raw material catalogue. Add, edit, and track stock levels for inputs like wax, silver sheet, veg-tan leather, or PLA filament.
• Products -- your product catalogue. Each product has a bill of materials, labour entries, and a machine cost breakdown.
• Machines -- equipment that contributes to product costs. Add your CO2 laser, 3D printer, kiln, or other machines and configure hourly running costs.
• Contacts -- suppliers and customers. Contacts can be linked to purchase records and orders.
• Orders -- customer orders. Link products to orders to track fulfilment and revenue.
• Reports -- cost and margin summaries across your catalogue. Useful for identifying which products are worth prioritizing.
• Settings -- organization configuration, cost settings, overhead, team, and billing.

Breadcrumbs

When you navigate into a record -- for example, a specific product -- a breadcrumb trail appears at the top of the page showing your path: Products > Lavender Soy Candle. Click any segment in the breadcrumb to go back to that level without using the browser back button.

Search

A search bar at the top of the sidebar lets you find materials, products, contacts, and orders by name. Type at least two characters to see results.

Organization switcher

If your account belongs to more than one organization, you will see the current organization name near the top of the sidebar. Click it to open the organization switcher and move to a different workspace.
