The Dashboard Explained
The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It gives you a snapshot of your organization's current state.
Summary cards
Across the top of the dashboard are summary cards showing counts and key figures at a glance:
- Materials -- total number of materials in your catalogue, with an indicator if any are low in stock.
- Products -- total number of products you have defined.
- Orders -- open orders awaiting fulfilment.
Clicking a card takes you directly to that section.
Recent activity
Below the summary cards, the recent activity feed shows the latest changes in your organization: new materials added, products updated, orders created or completed, and team member actions. This is useful when you share the workspace with others and need to see what has changed.
Quick-action buttons
The dashboard includes shortcuts for the most common tasks:
- Add material -- opens the new material form.
- Create product -- opens the new product form.
- New order -- starts a new customer order.
These are the same actions available in the relevant sections of the app; the shortcuts are there so you do not need to navigate if you know what you want to do.
Notifications
If any materials have dropped below their minimum stock level, a notification appears on the dashboard. CrafterBy does not automatically reorder stock; the notification is a prompt to review your inventory.
