Settings Overview
The Settings section is where you control how CrafterBy behaves for your organization. It is divided into several sub-sections, each covering a different aspect of your configuration.
Sub-sections at a glance
Organization
Your organization name, currency, and default language. Changes here affect the display of all monetary values and the language of the interface for all members who have not set a personal language preference.
Cost Settings
Your default hourly labour rate, default waste factor, and any other cost defaults that apply across all products. These values are used as starting points when you create new products -- individual products can override them.
Overhead
Your total monthly overhead costs and how they are allocated to products. This is where you account for fixed costs -- rent, electricity, equipment subscriptions -- that cannot be assigned to a specific product.
Categories
Custom categories for materials and products. For example, a candle maker might create material categories "Waxes", "Wicks", and "Fragrances", and product categories "Candles" and "Gift Sets". Categories are used for filtering and in reports.
Stock Locations
Physical or logical locations where your stock is held -- "Main Workshop", "Retail Display", "Online Fulfilment". Stock movements are recorded against a location.
Team
Invite and manage members of your organization. Assign and change roles. Remove members who no longer need access.
Billing
Your current plan, usage, payment method, and invoice history. Upgrade or cancel your plan from here.
